Whitewater Rafting – Payette River

Enjoy networking with other attendees during a scenic 45-minute ride to Banks, a three-hour whitewater raft trip with class II and III rapids, and a lunch (provided) overlooking the Payette River. Breakfast is on your own.

Welcome Reception & Dinner

State Capitol

Street Party in front of State Capitol

NASBO and the Idaho Division of Financial Management are pleased to host a welcome reception and dinner on the street in front of the State Capitol. Attendees will also be able to tour inside the Capitol building.

Visit IdahoHistoric Downtown Boise Walking Tour

Get your bearings in Boise with a historic walking tour of downtown. This 1.5-hour guided walking tour through 150 years of history and architecture will showcase downtown's evolution from gold rush boomtown, through urban renewal decline, and 21st-century revitalization.

Basque Cultural Center

Basque Museum and Cultural Center

The Basque homeland is a region between France and Spain, but the city with the largest population of Basque people outside of Spain is located in Boise. The museum and cultural center provide a look into the heritage of the Basque communities not only in Idaho but in the American West. Tour the museum collections, which include oral history archives, a library, a collection of records & tapes, manuscript materials, and numerous artifacts and photographs.

Old Idaho penitentiary

Old Idaho Penitentiary & BBQ Dinner at Double R Ranch

All meeting attendees and guests can visit the Old Idaho Penitentiary to learn about 100 years of unique prison history within thirty historic buildings and special exhibits. Following this excursion, the Idaho budget office and former state budget directors will host a BBQ dinner at former Governor Otter’s ranch.

World Center for Birds of Prey & Boise River FloatingWorld Center for Birds of Prey & Boise River Float

In the morning, guests can visit the Center for Birds of Prey to learn about how The Peregrine Fund is conserving raptors around the world. This one-of-a-kind indoor/outdoor education center lets you meet eagles, owls, vultures, hawks, and falcons.

After lunch (provided), enjoy a leisurely 6-mile float down the Boise River. Floaters put in at Barber Park and take out at Ann Morrison Park. Depending on river conditions, the float can take between 2-3 hours. Life vests will be provided for all participants. Transportation back to the hotel will be provided.  

Awards Dinner

BSU Stadium

Stueckle Sky Center at Boise State University

NASBO will host our 2022 awards dinner at Boise State University’s stadium. Attendees will experience spectacular views of downtown and the Boise Foothills, as well as a chance to experience Boise State’s famous blue turf.

Conference Momento

Attendees and adult guests can select to receive a Colorblock Hooded Jacket as a memento of your time in Idaho. Jacket fit runs slightly small.
