State budget officers from across the country will gather to discuss state fiscal conditions and budget challenges for the future on April 25-27 in New Mexico. The meeting agenda will feature presentations and discussion surrounding the economic outlook, Affordable Care Act implementation, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding for states, revenue and forecasting issues and the impact of potential federal budget cuts. Several opportunities to network during the meeting will allow states to share best practices and discuss the challenges ahead. With a remarkably low hotel rate and registration fees under $300, this meeting should not be missed. The hotel cut-off date is March 24th and registration will close on March 29th. Travel assistance is available for member states – please contact Lauren Cummings (lcummings@nasbo.org) for more information.
