House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) and Ranking Member Sandy Levin (D-IL) announced the formation of 11 bipartisan Tax Reform Working Groups. The groups will review current law, conduct research and solicit stakeholder feedback on designated tax issue areas. After the groups complete this work, the Joint Committee on Taxation will prepare and submit a report for the full Committee to review by April 15, also the deadline for both chambers of Congress to pass a budget. The work of these bipartisan groups will provide the legislative tax reform framework for a variety of issue areas that are of importance to states.
