The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) at the U.S. Department of Labor sent a notice to state workforce agencies providing an update on the “UI Excellence in Action” initiative and announce new tools designed to assist states in improving business processes in their unemployment insurance (UI) programs. The initiative, a collaborative effort between ETA and the National Association of State Workforce Agencies’ (NASWA) Information Technology Support Center, is intended to improve unemployment insurance program performance across states by identifying, documenting, sharing and replicating successful processes/practices that support UI claims processing.
