The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) issued guidance last week to state workforce agencies to assist in states’ annual budget planning. This Training and Employment Notice provides advance notification of the potential impacts of demographic and employment data on allotment formulas for the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth Activities Programs, the Wagner Peyser Act Employment Service Program (ES) and Workforce Information Grants to States. The projections provided in the notice also reflect funding reductions for fiscal 2013 discretionary funds under the March 1, 2013 sequestration.
