Join us for the 44th annual Introduction to State Budgeting Seminar. This seminar is geared toward state budget analysts with two years or less experience. Presenters are veteran budget experts who will provide an exciting and informative seminar that will focus on communication strategies, budgeting from the perspective of a director and an analyst, as well as an in-depth analysis of budget requests utilizing case studies.

The registration fee for members (all state budget office employees) is $350. The registration fee for non-profit/federal government participants is $450. Class size is limited to the first 75 participants. Depending on availability, registration will open to non-members on Monday, July 28. The registration deadline for all participants is Friday, August 1.

This special rate is available two days before and after the meeting, based on availability. In order to get this group rate, you must identify yourself with the “NASBO Introduction to State Budgeting Seminar." Cancellation must be made by 4 pm CST the day before arrival to avoid a cancellation fee equal to one night’s room rental.

Analyst Professional Development Seminar

This seminar is geared toward state budget analysts with two years or more experience. The seminar will focus on professional development topics and provide analysts the opportunity to meet with colleagues in their program area to discuss challenges, trends, and successful practices. The registration fee for members (all state budget office employees) and alumni is $295. The registration fee for non-profit/federal government participants is $395. The registration deadline for all participants is Friday, August 29.
