2006 Leadership and Professional Development Seminar
September 17-22
John F. Kennedy School of Government
Cambridge, Massachusetts

The National Association of State Budget Officers (NASBO) 2006 Leadership and Professional Development Seminar took place from September 17-22 at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. This was the first seminar of its kind to be held in conjunction with the Kennedy School’s Executive Education program. The seminar offered a tremendous opportunity for state budget officials to attend an intense, comprehensive, week-long academic seminar tailored specifically for state budget officials. It also provided an excellent opportunity for participants to discuss advanced strategic thinking, leadership skill development, as well as performance management and housing issues.

The 2006 Leadership and Professional Development Seminar also focused on leadership strategies that produce results in public agencies and reflected specific performance challenges facing senior budget officers.

The seminar was a success and included more than forty participants from across the country. NASBO would like to extend a special thank you to all those who participated.
