You can reserve your room(s) by calling (800) 325-3535. NASBO has confirmed a per diem rate of $155 single or double occupancy (plus 16.4% tax). Follow these steps in order to get this group rate:

• Mention hotel name - Sheraton Chicago Hote & Towers
• Identify yourself with “48th Intro to State NASBO".

Cancellation must be made by 6:00 p.m. the day before arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee equal to one night’s room rental, including tax.

THE HOTEL CUT-OFF DATE FOR THE NASBO RATE IS AUGUST 1, 2013 AT 5:00 PM central time.

Check In/Checkout

Hotel check-in is 3:00 p.m. and checkout is 12:00 p.m.  If you are planning to checkout after the meeting concludes on Saturday, upon arrival, you must specifically request a late checkout.

Hotel Parking

Hotel Parking (Valet Only): $51.00 overnight for hotel guests.

Internet Access/Telephone

Complimentary internet access is available in each guest room for all NASBO group reservations. Please be aware that the Sheraton Chicago charges $2.25 for the first 30 minutes of toll-free and calling card calls, $0.10 for each additional minute.  Local calls will be charged $1.75 for the first 30 minutes, and an additional $0.10 for each additional minute.

Hotel Fitness Center/Pool

All NASBO group reservations receive complimentary access to the fitness center and pool. The Sheraton Chicago hotel fitness center is open from 24 hours a day with key card access. The indoor pool is open from 5:30am until 10pm everyday. The facility features the latest in Life Fitness® Cardio equipment.

Airport & Travel Information

The Sheraton Chicago hotel does not run an airport shuttle.  All prices listed below are approximates.  The following transportation options are available:

By Air

Chicago O’Hare International Airport

Travel Time to/from O’Hare - 30 to 40 minutes (approximate, non-rush hour)

• Airport Express provides round-trip fare to/from O’Hare International Airport for $29 per person or $53 roundtrip. Reservations can be booked online or by calling 888-284-3826. Airport Express Ticket Counters for purchasing tickets are located at Door 1E, Door 2D, and Door 3E lower level across from baggage claim on the Baggage Claim level. Reservations in advance are required when traveling back to O'Hare airport. All fares are due at time of pickup. Cash can be paid directly to the driver.
• Metered taxicabs are easily accessible outside baggage claims and are approximately $35-50 one-way from O'Hare depending on traffic. If you are traveling with 2 or more people, the taxi is cheaper (and faster) than the Airport Express shuttle.
• CTA (L Train) - Fare is $2.25 one-way. Take the Blue Line towards Forest Park. Exit at the Clark & Lake Street stop. Walk two blocks north to East Wacker Drive. Turn right on East Wacker and walk along the river to the pedestrian stairway down to Columbus Drive (there is a sign for the Sheraton at the stairwell entrance on the same side of the street as the Hyatt Regency hotel). Turn left on Columbus Drive; the hotel will be across the bridge on your right. (Exiting at Clark & Lake increases your walk by two block; you could also transfer to the Orange line towards Midway and exit one stop up at State & Lake - follow directions below)

• Airport Express provides round-trip fare to/from Midway for $24 per person or $44 roundtrip. Reservations can be booked online or by calling 888-284-3826. Our airport express ticket counter and loading zone is located at Door 3, lower level across from baggage claim. Reservations in advance are required when traveling to Midway airport. All fares are due at time of pickup. Cash can be paid directly to the driver.
• Metered taxicabs are easily accessible outside baggage claims and are approximately $25-40 one-way from Midway Airport depending on traffic. Again, if you are traveling with 2 or more people, the taxi is cheaper and faster than the Airport Express shuttle.
• CTA (L Train) - Fare is $2.25 one-way. Take the Orange Line towards the Loop. Exit at the State & Lake Street stop. Walk two blocks north to East Wacker Drive. • Overnight valet parking is available at the Sheraton Chicago for $51 a day with in and out privileges.  Less expensive self parking is available in nearby private parking garages which include Ogden Plaza and River East (North Pier) Central.
